New Leadership for Our Communities
My name is Jessica de la Cruz, and I am running as a Republican for Rhode Island Senate District 23: North Smithfield, Burrillville, and Glocester. I am a resident of
North Smithfield and a lifelong Rhode Island native, as well as first-generation American, born to Portuguese immigrants. My husband, David, and I have been
married for 17 years; together we have three young sons.
I value community involvement, and for over twenty years I have actively participated in various charity and community events, including soup kitchens, toy drives, nursing home visits, and youth programs. Five years ago, I transitioned from my career in order to stay home with my children.
My commitment to civic engagement has always driven me to share my concerns with lawmakers and advocate for change at the State House. However, over the years, my frustration has grown over the lack of representation by many of our current elected officials. I am running for office to give a voice to the concerns and challenges that arise amongst my constituents.
Those who know me best know that I am a person of integrity, a problem solver, and a person who is ready to challenge the status quo. I ask for your support on November 6th.
