Issues
I am running as a Republican to represent Senate District 23. As a political newcomer, I decided to get involved when it became clear that the state was rolling over the concerns and issues that the taxpayers and my neighbors care most deeply about:
Burrillville Powerplant:
Officials seem deaf to the protests and objections to a second Power Plant that will add 3 TONS of formal hazardous pollutants each year and affect over 100,000 people, predominately from our district.
Restore Fiscal Responsibility:
The taxpayers of Rhode Island should never be held responsible for paying on a bond on which they did not vote, such as in the 38 Studios debacle. As a real estate investor, I can’t spend more than I make and neither should our state government. I will vote to reduce taxes and limit spending.
Protect the U.S. Constitution:
It’s more than a ritual or ceremony. I take seriously my pledge to defend our state and federal Constitutions. Protecting its citizens, their freedoms and rights will be my primary responsibility.
More Transparency and Accountability:
Even the left-leaning RI Public Interest Research Group gave RI a “D” for its transparency of government spending. We can do better. I support ethical leadership and representation; no more backroom deals.
